I am a 40+ something newmedia professional living in Aurora, Ontario. Inconverse is my consulting and new media production business. If you wish to enquire about my services, you may contact me here.

For the past 3 years I was employed as the CTO for Open Source Order Sets, a clinical document management company in Toronto. I left OSOS in February to pursue new career opportunities. If you wish, you may download a copy of my resume.

Some career highlights include...

CTO at Open Source Order Sets (OSOS)

I was instrumental in helping to found Open Source Order Sets (OSOS), a member based clinical web portal that provides document management and cross team, multi-disciplinary collaboration services for clinical professionals in roughly one hundred hospitals across Canada and the United States. I was responsible for leading the development of the OSOS web application that provided the above mentioned services and establishing a software development department that included development practices, policies, technical infrastructure and staffing. Additional responsibilities included overseeing the design and implementation of the overall IT infrastructure. The IT infrastructure was designed to support both clinical and non-clinical staff in a virtual office environment. This included secure file sharing, email, domain management, programming source code repositories, development and staging server environments and a VOIP Asterisk telephone system.

VP Production at Delvinia

As the VP Production at Delvinia I was responsible for supporting operations across the entire organizational structure. This included providing support for the Clients Services and Business Development groups in strategic planning, proposal development and client meetings. I was also actively engaged with Delvinia’s Product Development group and provided technical, research, budget development and strategic planning for a number of internal initiatives. Other key responsibilities included managing Delvinia’s Production Department that provided technical and creative services for our marketing and communication clients. This was typically for projects such as online advertising campaigns, website development, tracking and data gathering programs and data mining and analysis.

Other responsibilities included vendor selection and management, contract negotiations, technical specification development, budget development and management and staff management.
